About the Journal

LEX ETHICA: Journal of Legal Ethics and Contemporary Analysis is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that aims to accommodate and publish articles related to legal studies, as well as to disseminate scholarly works from academics, researchers, and legal practitioners from around the world in a broad and general scope. It places a on interdisciplinary studies that connect International Law, Economic Bussiness Law, State Administrative Law, and Public Policy. This journal is committed to presenting analysis that addresses contemporary challenges faced by Indonesian and global society, through the use of both traditional and modern research methodologies. The journal welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, and practitioners who examine the development of legal science and theoretical frameworks in both the practice and theory of law;

Authors are invited to publish articles that are in accordance with the scope of (Journal of Legal Ethics and Contemporary Analysis). Please read the information contained in the Author's Instructions on Publication Ethics, Plagiarism Policy, Personal Statement, Writing Guidelines, etc., as well as the review process by reviewers. Articles published in LEX ETHICA (Journal of Legal Ethics and Contemporary Analysis) will go through a double-blind peer review process in one round and the decision whether to accept the article or not is entirely the right of the editorial team based on the recommendations from the peer review. Please read and understand the author guidelines for manuscript preparation. Authors submitting articles to the editor must follow the author guidelines and templates. If the submitted manuscript does not follow the guidelines or uses a different format, does not fit the scope, and has more than 20% source excluding 2% similarity, it will be rejected by the editorial team before review. The editorial team will only accept manuscripts that meet the specified requirements.

Open Access Policy
The Journal of Legal Ethics and Contemporary Analysis (LEX ETHICA) maintains a fully open access policy, believing that making quality research freely available to the public will foster a broader global exchange of knowledge.
All published articles are available at no cost to readers and institutions and may be reused under the terms of the license. Articles published with open access may be immediately and permanently:

  • Read, copied, distributed, printed, searched, downloaded, and linked to in full text.
  • Indexed by search engines, integrated into software, or redistributed as data.
  • Used by anyone for any legitimate and legal purpose.

All content is available in full text free of charge to readers, with no publication delay, no embargo period, and no registration requirements for users.
LEX ETHICA works with the author community to select the best licensing options and currently operates under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits reuse provided proper attribution to the author and the original publication in this journal.

Archiving Policy
The Legal Ethics and Contemporary Analysis (LEX ETHICA) Journal uses the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to ensure distributed archiving among participating libraries. This system enables the creation of a permanent archive of the journal that can be used for content preservation and recovery purposes.
All content stored in the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archives is stored with the express permission of the publisher, secured through a formal contract or online permission statement.
We actively collaborate with the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS network administrators to ensure governance, legal policies, and access provisions are appropriate to the nature of the content, jurisdiction, rights, and user needs.
