Focus and Scope

Aims: LEX ETHICA (Journal of Legal Ethics and Contemporary Analysis) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that aims to be a forum for the publication of scientific works in the field of legal science, with a focus on encouraging interdisciplinary studies that connect International Law, Economic Business Law, State Administrative Law, and Public Policy. This journal is committed to presenting analysis that addresses contemporary challenges faced by Indonesian and global society, through the use of both traditional and modern research methodologies.

Scope: To achieve these objectives, LEX ETHICA accepts manuscripts that make significant contributions to the development of the study of International Law, Economic Businness Law, Public Administrative Law, and Public Policy, including relevant interdisciplinary approaches. Topics covered include:

1.  International Law
Covers a broad range of studies that continue to evolve with globalization, such as human rights law, international trade law, international environmental law, and interstate dispute resolution mechanisms. Issues such as international treaties, and the implications of global law are the focus of discussion.

2. Economic Bussiness Law

    Covers the study of various legal aspects affecting economic activities, business transactions, and public policies related to the regulation of economic and industrial sectors. It explores the legal dynamics of business development at both national and international levels, including legislation, international treaties, and legal practices that support or regulate the economy. Topics include: trade law and business transactions, corporate law and governance (CSR), investment and banking regulations, competition law and antitrust, international economic law, fiscal and tax policy, consumer and product protection, and labor law and industrial relations.

3.  Public Administrative Law and Public Policy
Covers the study of the relationship between government and citizens, the process of formulating and implementing public policy, and the legal aspects of government actions. Topics include bureaucratic reform, public services, good governance, and administrative dispute resolution.

This journal encourages innovative research and critical perspectives on legal practice at the national and international levels, with particular attention to contemporary issues of national and global relevance.

Authors are invited to publish articles that are in accordance with the scope of LEX ETHICA (Journal of Legal Ethics and Contemporary Analysis). Please read the information contained in the Author's Instructions on Publication Ethics, Plagiarism Policy, Personal Statement, Writing Guidelines, etc., as well as the review process by reviewers found in the Editorial Board. Articles published in LEX ETHICA (Journal Legal Ethics and Contemporary Analysis) will go through a double-blind peer review process in one round and the decision whether to accept the article or not is entirely the right of the editorial team based on the recommendations from the peer review. Please read and understand the author guidelines for manuscript preparation. Authors submitting articles to the editor must follow the author guidelines and templates. If the submitted manuscript does not follow the guidelines or uses a different format, does not fit the scope, and has more than 20% similarity excluding <2% similarity, it will be rejected by the editorial team before review. The editorial team will only accept manuscripts that meet the specified requirements.
